Wide Format

Wide Format

Ricoh have long been a credible supplier to the wide format market. Since the 1970's when the first product was introduced, research and development has been a core focus and main reason for our recent success.

We currently have seven hardware models available, two finishing options for online folding and a choice of two printer controllers, all available to offer a simple choice.

The wide format portfolio is built on three guiding principles, set out because of the more technical nature of the customers' demands and workflows:

A long term innovator in wide format
Sell wide format knowing it is not a new subject to Ricoh. From the first analogue range in the 1970's to the initial digital model in the 1980's, Ricoh has led the way each time. Others have followed.

• Ricoh were the first to launch a digital machine in the early 1980's
• No toner on the hands. Ricoh were first to offer all in one toner bottles
• The one footprint for print, copy and scan. That was Ricoh's idea
• Introducing a model specifically for the office environment was all down to Ricoh
• A touch screen panel that's exactly the same as any other MFP? Ricoh were first

Convenience and usability
Our machines win because of their footprint and ease of use. Size matters in places where space is a challenge, especially in areas where the general working environment also plays a part.

• All machines are designed for full-frontal operation, meaning users rarely have to access the back of the device. This also allows them to be installed tight up against a wall
• All digital wide format devices come with an Energy Star rating allowing them to work effortlessly in confined spaces, meeting health and safety targets
• The Ricoh print controller couldn't be more easy to use. As with any other Ricoh PostScript driver, the properties can be selected quickly without any fuss or complication
• To reduce distribution costs and speed up the time to process work, Ricoh's scan controller is fully embedded to the device, allowing users to select a network destination or email address(s) from the front panel and send the drawing(s) on its way

Complete connectivity
The complexity of printing technical drawings is taken away with Ricoh's controllers. The two options we offer contain enough fire power to cater for almost any situation found in the market today.

• Printing PDF? No problem due to the standard PostScript found in all digital devices
• Working with AutoCAD is a breeze thanks to ongoing work with the supplier of this popular drawing package
• Let users submit jobs in batches rather than ones and two's is straight forward
• How about printing remotely via the Internet? It's simple with the Ricoh WebPrint driver or more robust Ratio version
• Working in a Citrix environment – it can be done, but read the fine detail!
• The all important DWG file format. Either of our controllers can print this with ease
• Scan documents in single or multiple PDF or TIFF's is bread an butter for our digital devices
